Note Processor I
Hours: Part-Time
Position Summary: Responsible for booking and funding new and renewed loans. Post payments and advances on loans. Help customers with questions and payoffs.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Sets up and enters data for new and renewed notes, and note modifications.
- Complete data entry and process appropriate GL entries with corresponding offsets.
- Process initial funding as requested and account for collection of fees and charges
- Work with loans requiring multiple pricing options, seasonal limits, tiered commitments, prepayment penalties and breakage costs.
- Receive, review and set up advances tied to Libor pricing.
- Setup and maintain Guarantor records on the loan system as requirement.
- Ensure receipt and verification of proper approvals prior to booking and any unusual transactions.
- Calculate and process accrual and fee adjustments as required.
- Identify and resolve any moderate to complex boarding/accounting problems.
- Provides quality service to internal and external customers by telephone and by assisting loan departments in solving customer questions/problems.
- Assist the Team in the documentation, standardization and measurement of key business processes to promote a total quality management environment and to allow for the continual improvement and efficiency of key departmental process. Performs certain duties related to the overall function of the Team. These duties will vary depending upon overall team needs and individual ability and experiences. This may include performing the Team Leader function as directed by team members.
- Updates knowledge and develops professionally on a continuing basis through various training resources.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year office/clerical experience
- Must have excellent verbal and written skills to communicate with the customers and lenders.
- Must be able to work under multiple time constraints.
- Must possess good organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Able to operate PC and familiar with Excel.
- Typing speed of 40WPM, must be accurate
- 10 Key by touch
- Attention to detail and quality of work a must
