Internet Banking FAQs

What is a Secure Access Code?

Your Secure Access Code will be issued to you upon your first login. This Secure Access Code will allow you to securely log into your accounts online and then select your new permanent password. You will only have to repeat this process if you accidentally delete the security certificate that is automatically installed on your computer, or, if you attempt to login to your accounts using a different computer than the one you registered.

What if I am traveling and need to log into my accounts?

If you are away from your registered computer and need to log into Internet banking, you will simply be asked to repeat the registration process that you completed when you first logged into your accounts. You will be issued a Secure Access Code via your preferred method of contact and then you may log into your accounts as normal upon entering the Secure Access Code.

What operating systems and browsers are supported?

Currently, the Internet banking system supports the most popular operating systems and browsers. The recommended operating system is Windows XP and the recommended browser is Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.x. We do support other operating systems and browsers, some of these may show minor behavioral or cosmetic differences.

Security

Is my information safe to view over the Internet? How secure is the Internet Banking system?

Internet Banking brings together a combination of industry-approved security technologies to protect data for you and the bank. It features password-controlled system entry, a VeriSign-issued Digital ID for the bank's server, Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) protocol for data encryption, and a firewall to regulate the inflow and outflow of traffic.

You can help safeguard your information by protecting your Login ID and password and minimize the number of computers that you authenticate to access your account.
