Ready to switch to PlainsCapital?

We're ready for you, too. If you've resisted switching to PlainsCapital because you don't want the "hassle" of switching your direct deposit and automatic payments or closing your old accounts, your worries are over. To make the switch easy, we've created forms to help you open an account, close your old bank account and set up or change your direct deposits and automatic payments quickly.

Switch Today

It's easy to get started.

  • First, open your new PlainsCapital Bank checking, savings, or money market account. You can open online or visit any PlainsCapital branch.
  • After your account is open, fill out the additional forms below to close your old account and move your automatic deposits or payments. Print the forms you need and submit them to the appropriate companies. It's that simple to switch!

If you don't have access to a printer - or if you'd like us to help you make the switch - stop by any of our branches or call 866-762-8392.

Step 1:  Open Your New PlainsCapital Account

Helpful Tips

  • Be sure to keep your old bank account open until you confirm that your automatic direct deposits and/or payments have been changed to your PlainsCapital account.
  • If you're setting up automatic payments for the first time, make sure your payees accept automatic payments.
  • If you're establishing direct deposit for the first time, see if your payor needs any additional forms to process your request.
  • Remember to attach a voided check or deposit slip to your direct deposit and/or automatic payment forms before submitting them.
