Responsibilities

As San Antonio region chairman, Mr. Edlund oversees day-to-day operations for PlainsCapital Bank’s San Antonio locations. He is responsible for daily management of the commercial and retail teams and for cultivating new deposit and loan relationships focusing on commercial & industrial businesses. He develops and maintains key business relationships with local civic and business leaders, current customers, and prospective clients.

Career Highlights

A lifelong San Antonian and second generation San Antonio banker with more than 20 years of experience in the community banking industry
Strong track record of building high-performing teams and long-term customer relationships
Previously served as Market President for Amarillo National Bank, where he launched their San Antonio presence in 2020 and successfully led and grew their local operations
Earlier in his career, held senior commercial lending roles at Jefferson Bank, Broadway Bank, and IBC Bank, where he managed complex commercial portfolios
