PlainsCapital Bank Welcomes Larry Smith

DALLAS (Dec. 18, 2023) – PlainsCapital Bank recently announced that Larry Smith has joined The Private Bank at PlainsCapital as Senior Vice President and Senior Portfolio Manager. He will office at PlainsCapital’s location at 5010 University Avenue in Lubbock.

“We are pleased to welcome Larry to The Private Bank and believe his expertise will greatly benefit our clients,” said Andrew Cunningham, Senior Vice President and Chief Investment Officer of The Private Bank. “His extensive experience and wealth of knowledge in portfolio management make him an excellent addition to the team.”

Smith brings more than 28 years of experience in portfolio management with expertise in alternative investments. He joins the Bank from Abraham Trading Company, where he spent 28 years and most recently served as a portfolio manager and the company’s director of research from 2016 to 2023. He received his BBA in finance from West Texas A&M University.
